I completed a three day sculpture casting course with Richard Wilks Courses and Clay.  I learnt about techniques used in modelling clay, then making a waste mould using plaster of paris. I was then shown how to lay in a stone substitute/cement and cast a hollow reinforced lightweight concrete sculpture. As I had no kiln this process allowed me the ability to cast all of my claywork into permanent frost proof stone substitute.

Learning this method gave me a real head start when I started my sculpture degree, and it is a method I still use to this day.

Richard is a great instructor and filled me with the confidence to succeed in my art career.  I couldn`t recommend this course enough!
